Andrew Parker has had
25 years commercial management experience operating as Chairman,
Chief Executive, Divisional Managing Director, Divisional Finance
Director and Sales & Marketing Controller.
He has held executive directorships in service-related companies
across Technology, Telecoms, Recruitment, Training, Security,
Cleaning, Utilities and Professional services sectors.
Andrew is a proven business builder within corporates and SME’s.
He is experienced in delivering high growth strategies, business
performance improvements, turnarounds, raising finance, acquisitions,
disposals and working with venture capitalists and shareholders.
He has managed and led business turnovers ranging from £1m
to £250m with staffing levels ranging from 10 -500 employees.
In more recent times advised over 100 SME business owners across
a wide range of business issues from tactical and operational
advice to business strategy and key strategic decisions.
Andrew Parker started his business career qualifying as a Chartered
Accountant with KPMG.
His early commercial experiences spanned 6 years as Sales &
Marketing controller with Calor Gas (UK market leaders in LPG),
working closely with 10,000 dealers and stockists to build its
dominant market position. |

During the nineties
Andrew led and grew an autonomous FTSE 100 subsidiary - Securicor
Cellular Services Ltd. As Managing Director he grew its turnover
from £18m to £220m in 6 years. He improved the company’s
UK market share ranking from 12th to 4th and grew the customer
base from 9,000 to 450,000 customers, managing 550 employees and
in 1998 successfully sold the company to BT Cellnet for £70m.
He personally led 4 further successful SME turnarounds, working
with corporate, personal shareholders and venture capitalists.
In recent times Andrew Parker has operated as a Business Advisor
working closely with Business Link and founded his own company.
Advancing Business focuses on “unlocking latent growth potential
for Owners in SME service businesses”. Today, Andrew offers
retained chairman services to several high growth businesses where
he works closely with the owners to deliver growth strategies.
Andrew Parker has a strong working knowledge of general management
issues, sales & marketing activities and financial disciplines.
